Mishimoto engineers created the Direct-fit Miata Oil Catch Can System to protect the 2016 Miata's engine from harmful blow-by. Direct injection engines lack port injection, which leads to high levels of carbon build-up, oil accumulation in the intake, and reduced octane levels. This catch can features an internal baffle and bronze filter, as well as two direct-fit hoses for an efficient installation. Unlike other air-oil-separator systems, this catch can isn't heated, so all blow-by condenses in the can, including oil and fuel vapors. Plus, it won't drain blow-by back to the oil pan, providing permanent protection. Plus, every Mishimoto part is backed by a lifetime warranty.
