Mishimoto engineers designed their direct-fit Miata oil catch can system to help protect engines from blow-by, a common issue with direct injection motors like the 2016 Miata's. The team spotted a thick layer of oil in the manifold resulting from PCV system blow-by, potentially leading to carbon accumulation and reduced octane. The kit includes a two-port Compact Baffled Oil Catch Can with a bronze filter and internal baffle to reduce oil in the vapor. Simple to install, it also comes with two direct-fit hoses and an application-specific bracket. As with all Mishimoto ND Miata parts, it features a Lifetime Warranty. Unlike many AOS systems, our catch cans aren't heated, trapping blow-by and keeping it away from the engine forever. After seeing what forms in the cans, you don't want it back in your oil.
