Adding a GReddy intercooler with efficient tube and fin design is a proven method of safely boosting horsepower in turbocharged engines. This high-performance intercooler reduces inlet temperatures, resulting in a denser air charge that can generate more power at the current boost level and even more at higher levels. Stock intercoolers, usually placed in inconvenient locations, can't handle increased boost levels and are prone to heat saturation.
