Garrett's direct fit performance intercoolers are designed to deliver improved performance while staying true to original equipment specifications. AI-driven CFD technology and bar-and-plate cores decrease intake temperatures to increase saturation points and horsepower. With support up to 660 HP, the Garrett POWERMAX™ intercooler for the 2016+ Honda Civic 1.5T/SI provides a 90% larger core than stock, decreasing intake manifold temperatures by 60°F (15.6°C) in warmer temperatures. CFD-optimized end tanks guide air more efficiently through the core. Tests in a wind tunnel generated air velocity equivalent to vehicle speed and yielded up to 17 WHP (12.7 kW) and 14 lb-ft (19 N-m) of torque versus the OE. With three hours of installation time, the intercooler is easy to mount with stock bolts, hoses, and clamps, though some modifications to the shroud may be necessary.
