The Power Intake is a top-of-the-line air filter that produces pure horsepower. In racing machines, air typically flows along the side of surfaces, but the center portion of the funnel is often unused. This led to the development of the Dual Funnel design, with a primary funnel at the top of the air cleaner and additional funnels at the base. This design, first seen in the Super Intake model, was improved upon in the Power Intake to enhance flow characteristics. With a new funnel design, better materials, and optimized air flow channels, this air cleaner is one of the most efficient on the market. By using a highly durable resin for the upper and lower funnels, engineers were able to create ideal funnel shapes that were not possible with traditional stainless steel. The funnels are specifically designed to increase air speed without disrupting the flow direction, resulting in a smooth and high-speed intake. The newly developed material (a layer of dry density fibers) used in the Power Intake improves element density for maximum protection against foreign materials entering the engine. Additionally, compared to previous models, the Power Intake has reduced its ventilation resistance by approximately 10% (pressure loss) for optimal performance and protection. The dry-type filter is trouble-free and eliminates common issues associated with wet-type cleaners, such as oil sticking to the air flow meter. Maintenance for the Power Intake is minimal, with filter replacement being easily and cost-effectively done when necessary.
