A'PEXi Power Intake Kit - 2002-2007 Subaru Impreza WRX/STI

The Power Intake is the leading air filter designed to increase horsepower. The funnel design utilized in high-performance vehicles takes advantage of a unique characteristic where air travels along the sides of surfaces. However, the center portion of the funnel is rarely used. This inspired the creation of the Dual Funnel design, which features a main funnel at the top of the air cleaner to direct air flow into the lower funnels at the base. This design was a huge success on the previous Super Intake model, but the Power Intake has improved upon the flow characteristics with a redesigned funnel and air flow channeling properties. The funnel shapes are specifically designed to increase air speed without altering the flow direction, resulting in a fast and smooth flow of air into the intake. The lower funnel has been engineered at a 14 degree curve to maximize efficiency, and has been positioned even closer to the base of the cleaner to minimize drag and eliminate any dead spots.
